Little Oaks has a securely fenced double plot allotment that we access from the playing field.

Little Oaks Community Nursery has been a registered charity for over 30 years. It cares for children aged 2-5 years old and is managed by a committee of mainly parents and a team of qualified experienced practitioners. Little Oaks is committed to inclusion, equality and values diversity. We work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop. The nursery accepts 15 and 30 hour funding, Time for Twos, plus childcare vouchers. Please see the Little Oaks Community Nursery Prospectus for more detailed information.

Our facilities include:

• a hall for physical sessions, music and movement and group activities
• a kitchen area for cooking activities
• three large rooms that are linked by double doors and are arranged to provide free-flow access to all areas of provision
• quiet areas for small group activities
• free-flow access to a secure outside area with two canopies and direct access to a secure all weather surfaced multi use games area, and equipment and resources to support learning and development across all areas
• access to a large public playing field used for sporting activities and nature walks
• our well established allotment with summer house, picnic tables and pet chickens.

We are Ofsted registered and work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Charity Commission law following set policies and procedures to ensure we operate both legally and ethically. Children enjoy a wide variety of learning opportunities based on their individual needs and interests and planned by our enthusiastic team of qualified, experienced practitioners.

Our latest Ofsted inspection in March 2022 rated the nursery as ‘Good‘. The report can be viewed here.
